1:1 '84 Terminator (Arnold) Bust... (Final Pics Pg 3!!)

Looks great but I would take a heat gun to the top of the hair and singe it a little. Hair looks a little too straight and even IMO.

Now that is THE ULTIMATE 84 Terminator !!!!! , it's instantly recognisable. A masterpiece Howard

This piece takes the CAKE!!! I do feel that you've captured the "soul" (or lack thereof) of the original film puppet, while still managing a clever balance with the ultra realism involved with your usual silicone work. The hair style is phenomenal, and the display draws your attention upward toward the head, as it should be. 'Really no critique to give on this piece...You can tell it was a labor of love. :)

Thanks for sharing and cheers,

Ryan

Thanks guys!! It is a tricky balancing act when working on a piece that was made from latex and had actual grease makeup on it to give the original puppet that 'zombie' look. I basically tried to make mine look as I thought they wanted him to look in the film? If that makes any sense ;)

sweet! is his lack of eyebrows on purpose?

Yes, they were singed off in the first chase scene.

Look at post #24, the original didn't have them either.

Yup...

It's pretty messy in person... but maybe a little bit of flame couldn't hurt?

Thanks again guys! This 'final stage' Terminator from the first film is my all time favorite... so it was a lot of fun putting him together!

Like i said elswhere i think it captures the essence of the original while being a better up to date representaation of it !!! congratulation i simply love it !! no wait i am in love :)

Woohoo! What a piece of work! You've made an excellent job of representing the original, yet updating the realism of it. Can you show some close ups of the damaged side and the endo work you've done? Absolutely stunning Howard.

Very cool, Howard!

My only criticism would be that I really dig the greasy sweaty look they gave Arnold throughout the movie. Almost makes him look sickly and moist. They talk about it as a conscience design choice on the commentary if remember correctly.

I'd also love to see this bust with proper "cyber punk" mood lighting. Those smooth studio lights are too unthreatening!
