For someone to share his country with Count Dracula ... your collection is to 'kill' for indeed. I still need to score those recent 'Making of' books ... are they any good with new pictures and items added which have never been mentioned before? And does your collection only contain props and pieces of the Empire and Dark Side?

Congrats on that feature Sergiu. It's very well deserved man. Your collection is truly outstanding and easily one of the best out there.:)

Thanks a lot Chaim! The Making of SW Trilogy books are some of the best SW books IMO. They are about the SW we know and love so much, and you will indeed really learn and find out about some new things. Not just about the props and sets, but stories about cast, directors etc. Highly recommended.

Congrats on that feature Sergiu. It's very well deserved man. Your collection is truly outstanding and easily one of the best out there.:)

Ben

Thank you very much Ben :)

For the LOVE OF GOD, that is ONE AWESOME COLLECTION!!!(y)eek:thumbsup I'm SO JEALOUS of your setup! The custom cases are just AWESOME! This is the type of setup I'd LOVE TO HAVE for my collection someday! You've got similar taste to me, as I see a number of the same items you have in my collection. My collection is no wheres near as BIG as yours, but I'm happy with what I have. I just need to find a better, more organized way to display everything. I know custom display cases like what you have are probably quite expensive. If you don't mind me asking, how much did they charge you for this custom setup, so I can know whether something similar will ever be obtainable in my budget? Again, BEAUTIFUL SETUP for your collection! I'M INSANELY JEALOUS!!!(y)cool

Thanks for the kind words. The display cabinets were custom made by a local company. Not too cheap I might add (I don't have a total cost to be honest, they were made 3 separate times), but at least they were made by my specifications. I don't have an IKEA next to my location so custom was the only way. If I remember correctly the glass was the most expensive part, because I chose thick glass.

Dude, you have the nicest/largest Star Wars collection I've ever seen, this is insane :)!!
I could stay in this room an entire week to admire all those items!
Congrats!

Wow. Now that's what i call a nice Star Wars collection.

great job.

i love the helmets, especially the Tie Fighter pilot and the Imperial Guard..

Something for the prop guys here: both versions of the Imperial Code Cylinders (original Radiation Dosimeters) used in Star Wars by the Imperial officers. The blue cap version used by Grand Moff Tarkin, Cmdr. Praji and other officers, and the non-blue cap (the rarest one) used by Chief Bast and General Tagge. Finally I have 2 of each type - in fact I have 3 blue caps (maybe I'll sell my extra some day) and 2 others.

In the 1960’s a company by the name of RA Stephen & Company Ltd, England, UK, made Radiation Dosimeters, that would end up being the props used in Star Wars for the Imperial Officers. The ones used in Star Wars are called direct reading pocket ionization dosimeters. They were typically the size and shape of a fountain pin at that time.

Each dosimeter contains a small ionization chamber (approximately two milliliters). Inside each chamber is a central wire anode. Attached to the anode is a metal coated quartz fiber. These units can be positively charged so that the quartz fiber is attracted to the anode. When the unit encounters radiation, ionization occurs inside the chamber producing electrons.

These electrons are attracted to a positively charged anode, which reduces the net positive charge, allowing the quartz fiber to return to it’s original position. This movement can be calculated and is directly proportional to the amount of ionization (radiation).

Finally got an original and mint full metal MGC (Model Gun Corporation - Japan) Stormtrooper blaster, and it is one of the best conversions I've seen. True prop collectors know how rare these things are, I wanted one for ages. It still misses a small greeblie, but I will get that separately and add it myself.

The Stormtrooper blaster comes with:

• Aluminum scope rail
• Accurate Weaver Scope Ring
• Aluminum Scope with separate glass lens (from Boba Debt's last run)
• Aluminum Barrel Rails
• Accurate Mr. Sparkle Hammer Greeblies
• Real RO72 Sight
• Lightly weathered

And it also came with the original MGC cardboard box from the 80's, which is insanely cool. Now to make some plaques and a cool metal stand for this beauty.

Special thanks to the two friends who so kindly helped me with getting this baby. :cheers

Looks a real beauty. I'm insanely jealous, Sergiu.
I too have been wanting to add one of these to my collection for sometime.
