Thoughts one these. New old old stock. They are SUPER shiny. Is there a plating that needs to come off?

Those literally look like the real thing. ***** Dann lol

Why do the pyramids sometimes look soft from head on? (not familiar with printing geometry)

I think halliwax is probably gonna upload a video on how he's gonna do it but here's what I did.
I drilled a 5mm hole (could be 4.75mm) pinched the arms together and was going to spread them from the inside. I ran into a problem with trying to spread them cause of the weird angle and how strong these things are. So I stopped before damaging anything and pinched planters wire (steel) around it.

Very clever move!

I am working on the video tonight actually lol

I find that starkillers pommels are much thinner then soloshold. It’s harder to install and clock in the right orientation with starkiller

A little 3d printed washer I made holds it in place pretty good, basically what you did with the wire

Very impressed with your alternative!

I was just gonna pack the back of it with some plumbers putty, that metal 2 part stuff that hardens like steel.

I also made a wire retainer for mine, if you go back several posts. (Top of page 13)

Great minds think alike!

Ha and i bet you guys may have an inkling as to what it may be. I'm all over the shot with it. Grenade spoons, pen lids. Crazy.
I'm almost wondering if it was some sort of one off lever? Or even something pinned into a graflex clamp rod. I just find it interesting that it threads perfectly into a clamp bar nut. Then again...The Parts they used for the ANH Obi wan saber strangely work well together as well...the search continues!

YEEEARGH!!!!!!

Yes, that scream you just heard, echoing in the distance, was the sound of me screaming as my newly arrived boot chunk (from the UK) was being squeezed in my vice to straighten the spread of the two backside tongues and shot across my shop.

Worse yet, I had noise canceling headphones on so I could not hear where it landed.

That long-awaited piece was in my hands less than 24 hours...

Lol glad you found it!

Well that's about the best I can do with my AS saber. Nothing i had would bend those tabs straight, so I used some bolt cutters to just cut them off. Will probably just use some plumbers putty or E6000 to glue it in, though its already pretty snug. Darkened with PermaBlue.

No; unfortunately, I didn’t find it.

It’s now disappeared into that dark hole in my shop were all screws and small detail pieces go, never to be seen again :(

I think you might find some of my mismatched socks in that hole too. That sucks man, good luck searching for it! Definitely a cautionary tale for the rest of us.
