Limited Run ‘Energy Matrix Dampener’. (Luke cave scene tool) by WannaWanga! PRE-ORDERS OPEN

I'm happy to report that over the past couple of days I believe we have fully confirmed the modification and assembly method for the real parts- which was different than I initially assumed.

With other reference examined- Now moving forward with more confidence :)

I mean, when it comes to taking tools to rare items, this guy right here has sacrificed my soul a few times. It’s worth it :D this isn’t even as bad as some of the crap I’ve done

Well they probably used what was easy to find / readily available and otherwise conventional to Star Wars production already.
Flat heads screws with slotted and / or Phillips head were much more common in *that* size so I’ll imagine that we would go with one of those instead of a specialty security screwhead.

Of course to each their own… so you could swap whatever you like for yourself easily

Hi guys & girls, Roy here, from WannaWanga.
It is great to see so many people interested in the cave scene tool. And I have not been sitting still!
I worked hard on the development of a replica of the parts, to recreate it as precise as possible.
Thanks to Poikilotherm I managed to obtain the correct vintage atomizer and together with more information and research between me and BRRogers I modelled and engineered the complete unit.
A lot of work was in discussing all the ins and outs with the factory and I am happy to say I managed to get everything set to start production soon!
Here are some details:
  • the DeVilbiss atomizer will be non-functional but otherwise as accurate as possible, all metal parts and chrome plated.
  • the dental part, the matrix retainer, will be a modified modern version to perfectly copy a vintage version that, based on the comparison images, has the correct shape of thumb screws and body parts.
  • a tiny slotted stainless steel #4-40 screw will hold both together.
  • I'm designing a nice gift box with foam inlay for cool presentation and safe transportation.
  • I'm also thinking of adding an acrylic stand to have a cool display next to your hero saber. Any suggestions are welcome!

The final price is still unclear.
Because of holidays, both in the West as in the East, and my factory being really busy, this will only be ready in February or March.
I will sell the tool in the WannaWanga webshop.

Any questions or suggestions, please let me know
