some aspects of the hobby getting soft...
Can't help, but agree with you Andrew, but for those at SDCC there is a little bit of incentive for going on this little hunt though.

They reached out to me to suit up but I decided not to,  there will be some brothers suited up and I wish them success.

Incentive?.....depends how you define that, Guan.

You know what; and on a side-note, FOX has access to hundreds of archival pictures of the Predator, and various props... right?

Why the balls do they keep using pictures of that ******* toy as promotional and packaging art?

Oh, and as far as the whole "3-D" thing goes, you can just shove all that right back up your ass, Hollywood. You need TWO functioning eyes for it to work.

Well...what I mean is if you go and do their little project which I think from the sounds of it is a "scavenger hunt" you can win a Predator statue depending on which one it is might be really cool to add to the collection.

I agree I never did like that HT figure because of the sculpt and they continue to use it for their DVD packaging art work never understood as to why though.

The nephew of Kevin Peter Hall Jamie even got in on the fun in his suit as well. Awesome!

Ok, here is a stupid question, but I never did claim to be smart. :p. Will a person need a 3D compatible television to be able to view the 3D BluRay? I'm not all that excited about it, but will want to at least buy it to check it out. I saw Jurrassic Park 3D in the theater and was not that impressed. I think that a film needs to be created with the intent of having a 3D version for it to be good (i.e. Avatar).

In That last image.... You can see the crowds lining up to get their copy.... Lol!!

Jamie looking good as always.... Still blows me away that he suits up now.

Yeah, you'll need a 3D capable TV and a Blu-Ray that supports it as well.  I have one and can tell you this... it's novel at best.  Don't get me wrong, it can be cool, but if I were to go out and get a new one I wouldn't pay the extra $$$ for it.  Some movies look really good, but those are the ones that were originally shot in 3D.  Prometheus for example is great, as are most of the animated movies.  I'm sure I'll pick it up just to see how it looks, but I'm not getting my hopes up and don't expect it to be all that great.  I'm glad they're not planning to release this in the theater though.

I dunno---I think it'd be pretty cool to see it on a theater big screen again.  :)

If the original had been shot in 3D I would agree.  I'm not sure if you've seen any that were re-released in 3D that weren't shot that way, (JP is a good example) but (for me at least) it just doesn't work.  To me, watching a re-made 3D movie on Blu-Ray defeats the purpose, due to the fact that it becomes easier to see where the real stuff stops and the digital stuff starts.  A low quality re-make may work, but it's still replacing original film with digital animation.  Lee is right, I don't think there's much more than can squeeze out of the original, without (god forbid) a remake.  God help us all if that happens

I think it is awesome!! When I saw Dave and his son Chase was wondering if Jamie was even invited to go or was able to make it.
