i was interested to see if anyone has tackled any MGS costumes like Cyborg Ninja, Snake, Raiden...etc.....i have no idea how to sculpt but i really enjoy seeing everyone else do it....anyone no of any out there?????? :confused
 
There really hasn't been any costumes. The only one that comes to mind was at a some Con and a group of Japanese people dressed the part. It's probably floating around on the net somewhere.

Davidyr1 had an interest thread a few years ago for Solid Snake's vest from MGS1. No interest and that project died.

I've always wanted a replica knife from MGS3 and I think one member here even made a pretty good wood copy.

I have a Solid Snake costume put together, but its nothing specially made, some are just parts I bought of the shelf and for the rest I shopped around at various Army surplus stores until I found what I wanted.

Photographed pretty good though :p
 
There is a cosplay suit you can order. But that thing is bad...

If you want a snake suit like in mgs1, you must do it yourselfe. But the mgs3 suits you can buy everywhere in army stores...
 
that's an awesome costume....i think a girl could pull the costume because of the ninja's build...she makes it look good...i know if i had that costume on..it would not look that good...lol!!!! i want to build one!!!!

If you did, send me an helmet (with a working led "eye", of course...) I will work out the rest of the costume myself...:D
 
I wish you good luck, I always wanted to do a MG fan-film (so a prequel, not yet in the MGS storyline), but I really don't have the time and the tools at the moment to make it...:rolleyes

I don't like their Snake or the design of their metal gear, but the look is really nice!;)

Looks nice, is that costume from mgs1 or the grey army suit from mgs3?

In fact the snake suit from mgs 1 was not like an army uniform, I think its more like a diver suit, only thicker...

So, I would choose a mgs3 costume, if I ever made something like that...

MGS1, I used a grey coverall, instead of the "underarmor/scuba" shirt and pants... And that pic is really bad... I think I should do a photoshoot for that costume...
And maybe upgrade it a bit:D

I was working on a MGS3 costume, Mostly because THAT Snake looks more like me actually, but I can't find a couple of things here in Italy to make it accurate... So I put that idea on a shelf for a while...:confused
 
sick trailer and costumes....i would to atleast do cyborg ninja mask...i think i am....first ever sculpt it would be....so i think it's my calling...lol...i'm not sure when i'll start it but it would be an awesome project to work on!!!!!! any suggestions as far as sculpting materials to build from scratch?????
