Staff of Ra headpiece - Can it be autographed?

I was hoping to have someone autograph a Staff of Ra headpiece (Dark Matter version) for me. Has anyone tried this before? Is there a special type of pen best suited for such an autograph? Would a black Sharpie work, or will it just rub off? Paint pen maybe?

I can't speak to the Ra headpiece, but from having a high polished brass lamp autographed by Johnathan Freeman and Linda Larkin, the oil based Sharpie with a fine tip works excellent, just make sure that it dries completely before anything touches it.

This is bronze that's been plated. I assume it would be the same?

What are the name of those special markers that are silver that look like metal when they dry? Maybe that would work?
