SNG studios Daily video

Lots of time in the edit bay today on the movie and our weekly show which is 40 minutes this time with lots of cool stuff. It will be uploaded by the morning.
I also got lots done on the big TOS E. Wet primer on the top of the saucer, bridge hull has the windows and light positions cut out. All windows and lights cut out and filed on the lower saucer section. Next up to do the few lighting openings on the upper saucer section and open up all the windows on the engineering section.
To reiterate what this all is this a the large TOS Enterprise made from my original molds for the Museum of Science Fiction in Washington DC.
If you want to get your name on the plague as a contributor you can donate to this non profit build at: http://www.steveneillsgarage.com/donations66-tos-museum-of-…
I want to thanks everyone for the donations to date your are greatly appreciated!

Hey Steve,
Excellent update show, I greatly appreciate all your work, and explaining everything as you progress, most informative.
Have a GREAT and AWESOME WEEKEND SHOOTING :p

Great stuff Steve...when I'm working with lights bleeds, I usually spray with silver paint (two coats will do), then you can always spray your top coat after that.:)
That saucer is coming along for sure.

Here's pictures for the non video watching sector.
This is a very rough test of an idea Ken Palkow suggested of adding rooms to be seen through the actual windows of this model. I built a quickie room, added clear PETG windows and some strip lighting to test the idea and it works.
Ken will be printing the rooms and the bridge to be seen through the windows and though the bridge dome. Complete with light and blinking screens.
You can even see though the portholes. BTW I got the warps out of the top saucer and saved it.
The webs you see are from the hot glue I used. I made a real quick door and table for the wreck room obviously the windows need more clean up and we need small printed chairs, tables, replicators, on the walls, chairs and the doors to mention a few. More to come.
Steve

Some guys standing on the outside hull might be interesting.
This is a picture of an 11foot replica from 1987 by John Tate from Canada.
The pic here is a scan of a pic I took when he had it on display at the Superman convention

The credits aren't finished only tests and Doug Drexlers name replaces Daren's as Doug is in the film now. More on that later.

Here's some more pictures of Kenny's printing of the figures for the Big 66 inch E build. Scott Alexander kindly sent me a brass cast canopy for the TWA Moon Liner and I built a new dash board and re did the cockpit to suit it. If you watch the video you will get more information about why. The canopy is just rough fitted to show off the interior. It still has to be pointed up and blended to the fuselage. More to come.

Busy week so far. Finally got the engineering section cleaned up and started the windows.
The TWA Moon Liner (if you aren't familiar with it look it up on Google) has the power conduit running through the leg and out the foot. No small task getting the angle just right when drill through the leg into the brass tube support to the foot.
Canopy is on and the blending in process has begun.
Started a base for the base for easier transport and access to power cables.
Next up is to make her all one shade of white with flat while. It's more opaque then gloss, then the red, decals and gloss coat clear.
The brass, hammer is how I pinched the port hole windows. I sharpened the end of the brass tube and hammered it into the clear window material over plywood.

Wow this build is at 90% now. What i have to do still is...painting touch up, add the clear gloss coat, add the little port holes and place the covers over the landing gear screws. Oh and finish the base. This weeks video show is on the upload.
