I'm a fan of Paul Budzik (Scale Model Workshop) who makes clear tutorials that have lots of good tips and techniques which can be applied to almost any type of modelling. In this Youtube tutorial he creates a new nose for an aircraft using a wood form that will always have accurate centre lines no matter how much you sand it down to shape, by splitting a block into four sections, spraying them black, and then glueing them together again into a single piece. One of those "ugh, so simple " things that could come in useful for anyone making their own parts for casting, vacuum forming, or even in wood.
