Slave I Map & Reference Thread

I've updated the first set of maps for the engine bay in the first post.

Here's another two maps that show the more obscured parts of the engine bay. Not as many parts, so I did not separate them by manufacturer. This adds 5 more unknown parts to the list. See next post for better references.

2023-01-27 Edit - updated, and only #10 remains
2023-01-30 Edit - updated and split maps
2023-02-05 Edit - fixed a couple errors

Unknown 9 is Tamiya Crocodile
I think Unknown 11 is indeed the Croc fenders
Unknown 12 - 1/20 Tamiya Brabham BT46

Along with the Ferrari engine there are 1/12 Ford engine parts under the Slave I dish. Can't see them in the pic you posted, but they are there.

As Sjanish said, for reference- Tamiya Brabham kit no 20007 or 20050- two kits are required as parts #D6&C4 are required for the rear guns(two per kit), two #B2 rear wing parts (one per kit) they are used on the Slave’s wings.
Here are some pics of the chassis part, it is cut

#8 is just two of these Crocodile parts. Trimmed.

Thanks, guys. I've updated Post #22 with these IDs. (I'm sensing a pattern with the Crocodile - time to pull out the kit and stop looking at scans!)

Wow! This thread is amazing so much knowledge here, thanks for everyone who has contributed!

What did they originaly use for the fuselage and skirt? Was it vacuum-formed? What do people use now a days?

Hey Redfinger - these days a lot of modelers are 3D printing the fuselage but the original looks like it was vacuformed in styrene based on this pic:

I'm planning to vacuform mine but am thinking of using some 3D prints as the basis of the buck to help get the shape laid out. We'll see, as that step is still a ways off!

Updated the lower/hidden engine maps in Post #22. They were getting too busy, so I split up the Tamiya parts and the Airfix & Entex parts.

Also saved a PDF of all maps to date to the first post.

Thanks for that clarification, regardless, this would be a massive project to undertake!!

I found this kit list I made up some years ago, the bits of which are in this box of parts in the photo attached.
Looking through my box I can’t remember which kits some parts are from now but they should be from the kit list below(which likely isn’t exhaustive btw).

I think 3d printing it would be expensive as the parts are quite big.
I have a kit, it can be cast once cut up to make the molds.
I’m a new member so cannot currently offer to do a project run but it may be a possibility given time.

Thanks GTMill . I'll backcheck this against my list. Awesome pic of all the parts!

I molded the Entex a few years ago.

Molding the Entex Porsche

Here is kind of a fun picture.

I still have some of them boxed up somewhere. Brake discs and other parts too.

Lots of other Slave I parts too. When ever I had extra rtv they fell in. :D

*** the Piper part is wrong. I thought it was on Slave but have realized my mistake.
ETA: the Molex parts are real, not castings. Also the black Flak88 is real as is the bottom set of Harrier wings. I think everything else is a casting.
