Pacific Rim Jaeger Resource **03/04 Striker Eureka unfolds added**

Wow this looks amazing! I have been reading up on Pepakura for about a year now and think I am ready to dig in and get my feet wet. (I have been intimidated to try to start a project) This may not be the greatest of ideas but I want to make this my first project. I just hope I can pull it off or not to be too disappointed if I am not able to do it. ;)
I will continue to follow this thread with GREAT INTEREST!

After about a weeks work, I have finally finished peping out the Striker Eureka conn pod. It wasnt the easiest build, but it was worth it, because it looks BEAUTIFUL. Here is what it looks like right now.

The helmet file also had this underlying harness (still working on that) thing for your head so the weight of the front, because the helmet is really long, wont start falling down. But because its detached from the rest of the helmet, I need to find a way to attach it so I can make any adjustments before fiberglassing.

Other than that and one other thing, this helmet is absolutely gorgeous.

Dude!
Awesome!
when I finish Caboose for next weekend's con I'll be back all over these files!

The day has finally come when I can say my files are complete!
link to the .zip is here

http://www.mediafire.com/download/9ood9ksc483z5k1/Striker_Eureka_PDO_Files_-_By_Glitch_5092.zip

Or you can download the files individually here on my 4shared account (you need to sign up to download from 4shared, but it's free)

That was a lot of work, but I learned a lot about making/modifying 3D files for pep :)
Also Dumontrudisel has been making awesome progress on my files over here -

Big thanks to him as he's been my guinea pig for the files and has been a great help!
Hopefully I'll be starting my own thread soon enough!

Hi, I'm a noob PaperCraft builder and I found the links with the pdo files of the 4 main jaegers of the movie Pacific Rim.
I want to build a 30 cms tall paper model of Cherno Alpha, but I have a problem with printing in pepakura designer 3.
I can't get a printed version with the textures applyed to the pieces.
At first I got empty sheets of paper, then I went to settings Printer settings and change from bitmap to vector lines; I got the outline of the pieces with no textures.
I returned to Printer settings and again chose bitmap with 0 transparency. The printer just printed a black square covering all the page size.

How can I print this pieces with the bmp textures? should I edit first the UV's in a 3D program like Maya? or the problem is in Pepakura designer.
Thanks.
