Creating Ultron using Iron Man Pep Files

Hey all,

Just want to give a shout out to all you amazing costumers on this site. Without you I would still be in my garage trying to make this out of a duct tape dummy and some plastic blinds. I want to thank Stealth for the amazing plans, and Xrobot and docholiday78 for their sealing techniques.

My Idea was "What If Hank Pym created the Ultron robot out of used Iron Man armors.

First step...The Head

Remember, this is before I knew I could do this in foam.

So i went online and found a cheap helmet from Iron Man 2. Glued it together and cut out the creepy smile Utron has. Then made it alot stronger with Bondo and fiberglass

I then sanded that down and added the antenae. Coming together now

Pretty cool, always liked Ultron. Look forward to the rest of the build.

So I could not decide on what size foam to buy, 1/2 or 1/4 inch anti fatigue mats.

So I used both, Thank you Sears for the 50% off sale on 1/2 inch matts.

First attempt at the shoulder pads. Not too bad, but could use some work.

Chest piece completed with shoulder pads. I used the 1/4 inch for the small details.

Neck was next.

The Gloves minus the repulsor ray emitters, still working on the fingers.

Arms finished mixing the 1/2 and 1/4 inch foam. Thats all I have so far. Will post the legs, Cod, fingers and shoes soon.

How did you attach the ear posts to your helmet? Did you use a found object for the cylinders where the metal post attaches?

Actually I just cut up a pencil and gorilla glued it thte helmet, then to the antennae

Pencils!?!? They totally look like aluminum rods! Good paint!

Those are aluminum, but the pieces holding them on are bits of pencils. :cool
