It's Valspar Metallic Gold.

Easily the best I've seen. Goes on like magic, and dries out really nicely.

Did the vac metal place quote you $2100. Shipped? What instructions do they give you for preparation? I'm planning to get mine done as well but it's nerve wracking to give up 2 grand and hope for the best. Has anyone else had success with this company??

I have had several different quotes.... Most places are in the 2 k range

you need to do a ton of prep work....basically sand to a 5000 grit

Does the paint have a protective finish on it? I know most metallic paints can't take a clear coat. Looks really great.

I thought the same thing about the clear coat... And agreed, it looks fantastic!
