That's pretty random! I'll take that 63 Vette even if it's white, if you're still there. 
Looks worse, actually. The DP piece had some shrinkage but still looked like C3P0.
But I think you're right that the face/head seems to have been derived from the Don Post vinyl mask.
But it was cold outside
