How much did you spend on the materials for this? I heard a lot about 3D printing but the thing I hear the most is that the parts are pretty pricey for decent material!
$100. Seriously. I don't know whether to laugh or cry.
No. Only if you leave it out in the elements (UV, moisture, etc.) Indoors it should last as long as any other plastic. It would be similar to iron, if you leave it out or expose it to too much moisture, then it will rust. Plus most of it is sealed with the paint.BTW, doesn't PLA plastic start to degrade when in contact with air? I hope all your hard work doesn't get ruined.

Yep, the one on the A-10. The printer I have is the Type A Machines Series 1 Type A MachinesHave you ever heard of the Gau/8 Avenger 30mm Gatlang Cannon?
$100 is about how much I spent on my first Halo 3 Hayabusa Pepakura build
What 3d printer did you use?
Thanks! saw it and liked the page.Drove some traffic your way via the RPF Facebook page. Nice work!
I never knew (with a bit of sanding and 3d work) that a printer like that, could make something that looks identical to the real thing. I always thought that you would be able to tell that it was printed. How long did it take you to print the largest part?
