Awesome! How funny, I was looking through my card albums this week as well! I loved movie cards when I was a kid and still have all my old Star Wars cards, Superman, Alien, Moonraker, Close Encounters, The Black Hole, and Star Trek The Motion Picture. That was long before the sleeves and binders -- or at least my awareness of them. I got into the binder thing with '89 Batman movie cards and collected for a few more years with the Star Trek 25th Anniversary, Monty Python, Dr Who, and The Avengers. Since Star Wars is my main interest I took the plunge on the first two Star Wars Galaxy sets as well as the Widevision, 3D, and Chrome Archives sets. I did break down and get the 30th and 40th anniversary basic sets but otherwise I've stopped collecting modern Star Wars cards because of all of the stupid promos, exclusives, autographs, multicolored borders, etc, they do which makes it impossible to get a full set without spending a fortune.
I was never in to sports cards -- the closest I ever got was two sets of Chuck Jones Looney Tunes Baseball cards lol.
Cheers!
