I might actually do this!
That's awesome!!
You probably already know this, but these resin grips in TFA/TLJ seem to sit perfectly flush with the tube, and overall a bit lower profile than your current T-tracks.

I do know this. I actually have very detailed dimensional information of the hero prop grips!
If you do this, will the grips have the notches molded in? Or will we have to cut them like your plastic tracks?
I vote they should have the notches molded in. There's no reason not to, really, since they're cast instead of extruded.
Yes!
I can now happily confirm that I will be offering resin TFA/TLJ grips (set of 6):
- resin grips, 88mm long, with the exact shape and dimensions of the hero TLJ saber (and Finn TFA hero saber)
- they'll include the notch and rivet hole
- they'll be black but unfinished (straight from the mold)
I will offer them from my WannaWanga shop within a few weeks (I will announce it when they're ready).

Indeed! You and me both :lolLaziness pays off, doesn't it.
Awesome! Hey, how have people gotten a rivet in the notch? A metal tube to lift the rivet nose?
I don't understand this. I've actually never tried to add rivets to any of my grips, I've always used screws.Exactly. A few nuts can do the trick.
