Hi guys been asked to do up design plans for a 1 to 1 scale Colonial MkI Viper..Going through the Hirezz photos at By Your Command net can see that the cockpit is light grey textured panelling..Wallpaper maybe?
This looks very good! People always complained about the scarce detail in the Revell re-issue's cockpit. However, it was just a simple box - with holes for the feet of the actor / stand-in who took place in it. It's funny to know that the big Viper mockup did not even have an interior; just a seat and a flashing light. There was not even a joystick to hold on to - hilarious to see Richard Hatch's hands moving forward and backward in the pilot movie, like he was operating an excavator!
Some update pics.Still trying to ID a lot of the panels. So far have found out their are some old Modem panels involved and gauges used are early 747b with PW engines/maybe Lockheed Tristar/Douglas..Got bulkheads done and cockpit tub finished off and many thanks to a friend in the USA have got a scanned copy of the Ov-10 Mohawk stick that I have printed off along with some gauge knobs..
