They are moulded into grey back, they are only about 5mm thick with really thin metal disc ontop. They could be easily chopped off and sanded down etc.

Anybody know if the iron man helmet is available online anywhere? Amazon is the only one I can find, and it looks like they are sold out.

You can't get it from hasbro's website and Amazon still says it's not in stock

Most places just say "August 2016" so I wonder if that's the only release estimate Hasbro gave, and Amazon is playing it safe by saying "by September 1st".
I'm waiting to see some in hand photos of the metal version

Looks great! Has a nice Sheen to it!
Let me rephrase. The brackets are fine, it just doesn't have the outer ring on it lIke the plastic version does.
