Building a Star Destroyer!

Smiling Demon

Sr Member
Hello everyone,

I have been inspired by all the Star Destroyers being built lately and would like to make my own! I know that it will be a long project for me but I would like to have a go at it!

Could someone help me with in finding a link with good build-up photos and a list of model kits used in the making of the SD? I am interested in building a 3 footer or so since I do not know the size of the studio model.

Also, if anyone has any Autocad drawings or links thry would be willing to share it would be appreciated!!

Thanks,
Kenny

You asked me a "part map" sorry, I glued something like 4000 parts, I cant do a part map lol but I think you can take my pics as ref if you want (better to take pics of the SS model and try to match the parts :))

As for information how to do it, diagrams, plans etc there is nothing good available unfortunatly :( Anyway you dont need that, only pics of the SS model and there you go ! :D

Good luck :)

^On behalf of all those who entertain the insane notion of one day tackling this particular modeling subject , I thank you.:thumbsup

Geez!!
I didn't realize there were so many kits used!
It looks like it is going to get costly and time consuming finding the kits I need!
Has anyone ever made the parts in resin? I realize that you probably can't mold all the parts but maybe some of them made it into a mold somewhere!!

Kenny

Bigvade, any progress pics?

What a fantastic project. I would go insane trying to build one from scratch. The people that have done so must have alot of patience and dedication.

I do hope MR is watching these SD threads..........you guys are certainly making them look bad..........so much talent around here.

Dave :)

Randy Cooper is going to produce a 3ft Avenger star destroyer in the next few months, it wont as accurate as some of you alls but the price is right and the size is cool too so, keep an eye out for it.
