TIE Bomber

Finally finished the TIE Bomber (my first Star Wars studio scale). It's a fun little piece, but far more work than it appears. Happy it's done. There's a couple of mistakes, but it's close :)

I added a cockpit from parts in the DV-TIE kit, nothing fancy as it's hard to see.

Couldn't get 2" tube so I skinned what I could with styrene. That allowed me to pre-scribe some of the lines. Also I went a little different with the radial grooves by using strips of styrene in a cutout.

I think I got the colour about right as it photos almost grey. It's a little lighter and a little bluer than Haze grey. I've tweaked the colour in the pictures here to look close to how it is in person.

Thanks to Weili Pan, Joe White, sjanish, Niels Frederiksen, Jason Eaton and many on the RPF for the help!

Hey Lee. Another awesome model !!! Your attention to detail is always impressive. Love the paint job. Noticed the book in the background. One of the best reference books around.
Cheers Dave

wow, beautiful construction and paintjob. The photos you took are so professional too, really does this model justice!
