At coofunkcurly request I`ll be posting some build info. I'm not one for words so it will be very photo heavy and there will be a number of posts due to the large number of photos please enjoy
First up the chest and ab armor. I wanted to make this all removable so heavy uses of strong Velcro. I glues the ab armor parts together and added the Velcro as seen in the photos
Next the chest armor this was by far the easiest part. I found some D ring things at the local craft store along with some wide elastic that has a cool looking texture I made to holes in the chest armor and looped them thru. Also added more Velcro to the areas needed to match up with the ab armor. the shoulder armor uses the same elastic with an adjustable tab to connect to the back of the under suit and a Velcro loop to connect to the arm of the under suit
.
The bicep armor as you would have guessed got some Velcro love.
The under suit was a bit of a bitch to do I tired a few different jackets but none had the look I wanted or didn`t fit as snug as I wanted, so I made my own. I ended up going for a mesh like cloth so it would breath and has a cool look to it. I also used some leather for the elbow and bicep patch. I went with a zipper on the back so all the front armor can be left attached so the whole under suit and armor can be taken on or off in one go and with no help needed. all the armor attaches using Velcro that is sewn to the under suit.
I tried to get gloves that looked like the game which look like a fingerless set over the stop of normal ones, I really like how they turned out and have a very Batman feel to them.
That is really clear and impressive thank you for posting it. I really like your mounting system with the jacket. For a different batsuit I've wanted a jacket with the zipper in the back but kept trying to make it out of an unforgiving material. I may try the Velcro method and see what happens .
