Show me your Iron Man suit

Aaaw yeah! Needs paint in a couple areas but done all in all. Red tights and a neck piece are next. Not as good as most suits on here but for a scratch build, it turned out better than expected :) mark 6 iron man suit 1.jpgmark 6 iron man suit 3.jpgmark 6 iron man suit 6.jpgmark 6 iron man suit 8.jpgmark 6 iron man suit 9.jpgmark 6 iron man suit 11.jpg

joshironmanmk6.jpg this is what i have so far! i have a few touchups to do, such as the fingers, the electronics and such. ive already built fingers but im not sure they will work very well. does anybody have ideas for what to use for the fingers? what are some good ways to make them? and how do you attach them to the hand?

I've been looking at car paints that I like / seem close. You can find touch up spray cans and stuff on amazon. I like the Lincoln MKZ platinum dune color.

I've been wondering how to get the polished look vs the brushed look and if you can do that to the paint or if you have to do it to the suit pre paint.

Here are a few updated pics of my suit. I have lengthen the shins, built a new back armor, split the boots into two pieces for flexibility, and repainted it all..

HEY EVERYONE!

Been a while since I've been back here… I know. So, the latest is I was selected to participate in the C2E2 Crown Championships competition just this past Saturday. I wound up taking 3rd place in my category. Beat out a couple of other Ironman costumes, but all had a good time anyway. Got a nifty medal to show for it was featured on the news that evening and some cool photos which are posted below. Now we're on to the new builds… 2 Mark IV's and a War Machine baby!!

Thanks Tom, really appreciate it. Its been a few years in the making, this is actually the 3rd version of the suit, still need to add the inner calf bulge/panel (originally decided to make the calf universal to save time) and articulate the shoulder bells...also, not happy with the biceps, think they lack a bit of shape so will eventually re-cast them to...

Just started work on converting the Mk6 Chest piece into a Mk4 as I really want 2 suits side by side...I recently built 2 suits side-by-side in 5 weeks (the worst idea ever lol).

2 suits in 5 weeks, you're a monster!!!! I agree with Tom, awesome build, great workmanship and detail. I'm currently in the start up phase of my Mk4, hope I can get it half as good yours. Well done.
