Screen used WW Jos A Bank jacket- anyone know which episodes he wore these particular jackets. Will save me looking high and low lol

Steve

Just checked he doesn't wear it in first half of season 5 - jacket has WW #1 on label - will let you know when I match it

Steve

Yes there was a much dirtier version when he is walking through the desert and gets back home. Mine is pretty dirty so guessing was used up until time Hank gets killed - have Sony COA with it but Thx for helping me find where it was used

Steve

Mask: MSA Advantage 4000 Full-Facepiece Respirator, Medium (10083794)
Cartridge: 3M 6001 Organic Vapor Cartridge
Where seen: Ep 410 – Jesse wears mask in Mexico.

Note. This appears to be a forced together assembly as the mask and the cartridge do not match. To get this look you can simply take the "U" clip off the bottom of the inlet on the front of the mask and then hold the filter in place while pouring hot glue through the inlet and exhale holes in the mouth-cup from inside the mask. If you use high-temp hot glue this works really well and gives the exact, nearly seamless look as seen on the show.

Mask:
3M Full Facepiece 7800S Respirator Cartridge: 3M 6001 Organic Vapor Cartridge
Special Note: Note the green connector buttons that link the facemask to the headstrap. These masks are also sold with red and yellow buttons, but Walt and Jesse's buttons are green. The color of the buttons are size indicators:

Red = Small
Yellow = Medium
Green = Large

Thanks to @Alive for this info!

Also note that the nose cup assembly has been removed from these masks, revealing more of the actor's face.
Final note: this mask is built to accept 40mm NATO style threaded filters However, the 6001 filters are meant for bayonet type lugs and will not readily go onto a 40mm threaded mask. 3M does make an adapter, specifically for the 7800 mask that is used to allow bayonet type filters to be attached. This adapter is a "3M Cartridge/Filter Adapter 701". The part # is 70070408508. New 7800S masks come with these adapters but if you get a used mask, it may not.T
Where seen:

  • Ep 503 – Jesse and Walt wear masks.
  • Ep 506 – Mike and Walt wears masks, Todd wears mask with yellow connector button with MSA Advantage GMA / Organic Vapor Cartridge (815355).
  • Ep 507 - Todd and Walt wear masks.
  • Ep 508 – Walt wears mask.
  • Ep 513 - Todd wears mask.

I am sure some of this info has already been posted, but I have been piecing through the masks that Walt and Jesse wear throughout the show. There are more masks than this in the show, but I only focused on the models that Jesse and Walt wear and their variations.

Thumbs up to Art for providing great references on the gas masks used within the show!

I myself have started a small gas mask collection of my own haha, but that ended shortly because I focused on other important things.
So I didn't really get to complete my collection, but hopefully I will by the end of this year!

There is something I wanted to point out to everyone before any of you end up buying any MSA Advantage 1000 Respirators.
I am a bit anal when it comes to being precisely on the dot (size, cartridge, strap).
The MSA 1000 gas masks comes in two different versions and 3 different sizes (S, M, L). If you end up getting the medium/large gas mask and want to be on the dot, make sure you got the right version. When I bought my very first gas mask (MSA 1000, Medium), I found out it wasn't the right one because the strap was incorrect. I remember doing some research and there were specific part numbers that provided which one had the "dot" straps.

This is ripped out from MSA's website: http://us.msasafety.com/Air-Purifyi...ull-Facepiece-Respirator/p/000050001700001600
Under Part Numbers, you can see the different sizes:
Medium: 805408
Large: 805420

9zt84x.png

If you dig deeper, you'll notice that the same gas mask changes its part no.

Again from MSA: http://us.msasafety.com/Air-Purifyi...d-Riot-Control-Gas-Masks/p/000050001700001500
Under Part Numbers, you can see the different sizes:
Medium: 813859
Large: 813861

One of these versions has the "dot" straps"

nwgggn.png

According to Boss Saftey Products, the version that has the "dot" straps are part no. 813859: http://www.bosssafety.com/p-9680-ms...-medium.aspx?gclid=CIazo-axjcQCFY6UfgodoisAzw

Its safe to assume that the gas mask shown is what you'll end up, hopefully with the rights traps too.
Usually I would hit up eBay and just look at the pictures that the sellers were able to provide just to see if it fits my interests.

The other things I wanted to point out were the 3M 7800S Respirators.

"Special Note: Note the green connector buttons that link the face mask to the head strap. These masks are also sold with yellow and red buttons, but Walt and Jesse's buttons are green." - Art

I actually own this gas mask, but ended up being disappointed because I found out I got the wrong size, months after. So I ended up keeping it anyways. I bought a size medium with yellow connectors that held the straps to the mask. The one I should have bought was the one that had the "green" connectors, which turns out to be a size large.
You'll see in the manual how the color of the connectors indicate the size of the mask

Once again Art you did a great job in referencing, I was waiting for someone to actually post the gas masks that Walt and Jesse used throughout the show!
