In PHOTOSHOP you can copy and PASTE a portion of the tape and ROTATE IT!!! SERIOUSLY??? Are you GRAPHIC DEFICIENT?? It is VERY simple to ascertain, and measure with the raw tools in the photo as IS and arrive at a very usable product! WTF?? Do you THINK I am NEW at this??? I have been in graphics for over 20 years!!! I am a certified ENGINEER and have a Masters degree! A lot of you tend to OVERTHINK the process! It is simply NOT that complex. MOST people who want to own a hoverboard are really NOT that anal retentive! WITH THAT SAID please lighten up clock 88! I have one statement to make that sums it ALL up ' EVERYTHING IS SUBJECTIVE".

I think the issue you are missing is that the board in that photo is on a slight incline towards the magnet you are measuring.
You can see this in the exact photo you posted. The center piece shows on the tape that is laying on, to be about 4.5". Yet you took part of the tape that was further down and laid it on that piece. It shows 5". Why? Because of that incline. The tape itself was smaller down the board and to bring that scale upwards gives you a false impression of the true size. Trust Roland! Seriously, you will NOT find anyone more detailed oriented than he, and he is known for getting accuracy down to the split hair on his props. So when he does the measuring and shows proof.... it is usually correct
But putting all this aside... you got skills and your craftsmanship looks great!
You are correct sir :lolNot that it is a big deal or changes anything, but I think you accidentally measured the battery box wrong. His measuring tape reads the battery box at 4.75 in your example, not 5".
Wow, a sonic screwdriver thread!

Guess so...Silence from coolpropdude (except for a lot of "Like this post" clicks)? Was he shocked by my post?
