This looks so bloody awesome! [emoji108]
WOW, jaw drops to the floor. That video was excellent as well. Loved seeing her in action.
This might be one of my favorite updates in a long time! I don't want to be a bother and pester you to work on certain things, but part of me was like, "When is he going to do the light bars and the flooring?" every week. So it was cool to see them both worked on here! I really like the "taking care of odds and ends" stuff.
How much room is there to slide the console forward? Is it like inches, or a foot?
Interesting about the pin-stripes separating. I've seen a lot of pin-striping done where they overlap the corners and I wondered why they did that because it perceptibly added thickness. But it prevents this issue, so maybe that was the rationale.
The pool hoses look great.
You know, the whole thing will look awesome on display, but I hope that someone comes along and tells you it looks like a piece of junk, just so you can perfectly reply, "She may not look like much, but she's got it where it counts, kid. I've made a lot of special modifications myself."
Yup, that's a hugely exciting update with the pads in place.
Hard to say anything that hasn't already been said. The cockpit is staggeringly gorgeous and starting to look like a cohesive whole.
Great update SK.
Been watching this for a loooonnng time and just gotta say how great it is looking. I am an Industrial Design Engineer who doesn't live too far from you guys over around Tupelo. I was just over that way not too long ago when me and wife took our son to Cathedral Caverns for a weekend trip. Keep up the good work! Hope to see it in person one day.
Coming back to this thread never gets old! I can't wait for when you finish the cockpit and *cough* move on to the rest of the ship!!
Your "fooling around" with the pool house looks great! I really adds the ESB-feeling of the Falcon constantly about to break down!
In idea about the pads:
Some of the pads you have made are obviously more dirty and dented than others. Would it be an idea to concentrate those on the lower parts of the corridor and door frames, where people are more likely to bump their (dirty) boots into them?
I look forward to seeing you use your magic on the 3D printed chair parts!
Cowl looks fantastic -can't wait to see what you do with it.
Looking good Sofaking01. Awesome work on the head box.
You're a braver man than me. I don't think I'd want to take that 3D print and throw a bunch of goop and paint al over it. I'd worry I wouldn't eventually clean it up enough and feel like I was ruining it.
By the way, what's on your list of things to take care of before the con?
