I tried to keep the build in the vein of the OT and use parts from the star wars prop mythos, and also have a general feel of what an alternative blaster might have been like from the original production of props.

In the video at the end, I talk more about the parts used and what they might do in a make believe world. Aside from SW found parts, I wanted to use a found part scope, but the ZF-41 scope I was after was just too expensive to justify so I machined a ZF-41 inspired scope completely from scratch instead.
