Zach Galifianakis, who is this guy?

It's definitely not for everyone, but I really like the dude. The stuff with Tim and Eric is awesome, though I think Tim and Eric are almost more about the editing than anything else. I appreciate that angle, though.

He's not really a "flash in the pan" or "johnny come lately." Like others have said, he's been doing stand up for years and only recently has been getting higher profile acting parts.

I think he's pretty funny. I really enjoyed his live at the purple onion DVD.

Comparing him to Seth Rogen is an insult to Galifianakis. He is 10 times funnier.
Oh, I agree. It's just that that's what they're making him into. It's like every comedy that came out for a while had Rogen and now at every turn I see this guy. I hope his end doesn't come too soon because I like him too. Love his character on Bored to Death.

After the hangover I found some clips of the interviews he does 'public access style'. The guy has a very keen sense of humor. One of the best SNL monologues I have seen in years. Defiantly Steven Wright style.

Don't forget his first real breakout role in Out Cold....probably one of his funniest roles as they let him adlib as much as he could...

This past SNL was the first I'd ever seen or heard of him. Never seen any of the movies mentioned, as they seemed to me (and I could be wrong) to be nothing more than Porky's for the next generation. (And I've never seen all of Porky's, either.) In other words, sophomoric garbage.

HA! so subtle with his comedy, its great!!

The Hangover was actually above average in terms of writing. I avoided it for many weeks for the exact same reason. But it's a more intelligent movie than one might give it credit for when looking at the trailer. Mind you, I'm not saying it's a cerebral/intellectual film, but the writing is much more cleaver than I would have expected from it.

I caught this guys comedy dvd a couple years ago. I would compare him to Andy Kaufman in that you never really know if he's brilliant or just a wack job. His standup is pretty raw and all over the board, just hard to know what's part of the show and what's improv.

The thing I loved the best was this "interview" with Zach's "twin brother" Seth Galifianakis.

The part about the "Fugee's and Funyons" is just pure comedy gold! GOLD I tell ya! Watch these two youtube clips before you make an opinion of him...

after watching, check out the outtakes...:lol

His movie choices have been pretty below average, but I think it's hard to get a handle on how to cast this guy. Very bizarre comedy.

I thought THE HANGOVER was really overrated, he was OK in it.

He is really funny in The Hangover. Just watched a pile of his stand up on youtube and surprisingly don't find him that funny. Shame I thought they might have been good considering what a great movie The Hangover was :(

Zach was about the only funny thing about SNL this weekend. No wonder I stopped watching that years ago, the rest of that show was so unfunny, I could barely stand it. I especially loved the bit when he kept showing up on various TV shows.:lol
