It actually fits in the crate if you take poles out. I almost bought a full size one. I saw a guy who made up a room to look like the inside of a fancy tent (tabernacle) and he had the full Belloq outfit with the chest piece on and ram staff standing in front of it. Now THAT was badass! That Ark piece is so badass! That's one thing I really want to add.
I'm drunk as piss so I'm about to ramble. LMFAO. I feel ya on all the battery operated lighting. I would love for things to be lit up forever without changing batteries. I have the same problem. Ugh. I guess we just can't have it all. I almost think the crate the Ark sits in is better than the Ark itself. Such an awesome and detailed piece. But what really struck me is when you said, ARCADE! I'm going to post some pics of mine because I actually built an arcade. Lol. Sadly mine never gets used because nobody around here likes to have fun. ☹ you're collection is awesome! Keep up the good work. I'm just posting random pics because I'm too drunk to know what's going on. Lol. Sorry. It actually fits in the crate if you take poles out. I almost bought a full size one. I'd have to clean out my junk room first, but I also wanted that to be my arcade room for my home theater. I'd get more use out of the game room, I think. The 1/6 scale model looks nice. I got it for a reasonable price from someone on eBay. You originally had to buy X amount of the 1/6 scale figures and mail in the proof of purchase to get it, but that was before my time collecting.
For plastic, it looks like gold. The larger ones I've seen other than that full size gold plated one have all been spray painted gold color and it just doesn't shine. With lights in front in the dark, this looks pretty convincing like you're looking at it from far away.
There's an Egyptian temple wall and light (like from Ancient Aliens) I'd really like to get if I could set up a diorama of some kind, but I don't think I have the room on that shelf and it looks so sweet all remote lit up with those candle lights while listening to music in the home theater. I've got a ceiling star/cloud projector that looks sweet while it's on like I'm outdoors instead of underground plus a lot of my other movie props light up with a remote AC setup.
I'd like to wire up some AC converters for the candles so I don't have to change batteries every other month, but I'd probably have to do some drilling to hide the wires plus that many candles would get expensive for flat battery adapters.
On the plus side, the Sankara stones are hollow (forget maker name; I think he was banned long ago for some reason or another. I listed it in older posts) and take the same flicker candles so I don't have to ever worry about the light mechanism dying and leaving me with an expensive paper weight. They have rubber stoppers on the bottom to access the interior. They're not quite as fancy as the Restaurajones ones, but along with that advantage they also light up closer to the movie color, IMO. You could design a light system in a clear little jar to put inside to improve the effect since it's hollowed out.
Maybe I should just post a video. Idk. LolIt actually fits in the crate if you take poles out. I almost bought a full size one. And here's a full walk through of my theater. Once again sorry. Lol.It actually fits in the crate if you take poles out. I almost bought a full size one. Wow. That has my decorating setup beat by a long mile! The refreshment stand sign was fantastic. I loved the Jack Nicholson door with the axe too.And here's a full walk through of my theater. Once again sorry. Lol.
Lol. Thanks. Yeah I'm on the AVS forum. I just can't afford anything expensive. Spent too much money on props. Lol. This all started because my wife worked at cashland and somebody brought in a Epson880 and she bought it for $250 so I started building a theater/museum. I probably won't upgrade any electronics until something breaks. I'm happy with everything for now. Beats my 75" Samsung tv in the living room. Plus I'm not really knowledgeable about all the equipment yet that I would need to buy to make this better. I also forgot that was an old video. I've wrapped my screen recently to give it more pop, and to have a place for my front speakers. I'm slowly conversing my concession stand into a more Regal Theater accurate one. Lol. Im going to get in so much trouble for posting non Indy stuff in here.Wow. That has my decorating setup beat by a long mile! The refreshment stand sign was fantastic. What kind of home theater equipment are you running? Are you at AVS Forums or AVForum? You can take it private if you want since it's getting off topic. I spent a lot of time on sound (only a 92" screen with the bookshelves where they are), but 3 rows and 25 speakers Atmos/X/Auro-3D and a Lexicon MC-1 plugged into the 7.1 inputs for Logic 7 (expanded via "Scatmos" to 11.1 and THX with an 8 speaker array for old school Pro Logic and THX to watch Star Wars original trilogy as originally heard (Despecialized editions). Plus 4 experimental floor effects speakers.
Looks awesome.Here's my shelf.

Thanks Mate. I love set dressing my house.Looks awesome.
I don't think any of it's an incense burner, which thing do you mean?Love the set dressing with other artefacts. Do you have another view of the stuff around the incense burner(?)
Oh god and what's the blotter. Do you mean the inkwell? Haha, sorry I get easily confused. Also, where did you get the blotter? I want one XD
Ah okay, now I see what you're saying. The green pad with the gold accent is part of my grandad's writing desk which is what the photos are taken on, so it's not really something you could buy separately. If you're looking for something like that I know there are companies that make replacements for old writing desks, they may be able to offer you something. The blotter is the green pad with gold accent design.
The urn thing immediately to the right of the gold idol looks similar to incense burners to me, but I don't see holes.
Cheers, that's exactly what I meant. The blotter is the green pad with gold accent design.

I love that too! It's so fun to have a load of interesting things to look at when you walk past it, it's one of my favourite parts of my house. I think my great grandma had more of a sense of "lets buy anything that's that seems like a bargain", but yeah I've kept all of her bits and bobs and some of it is awesome.Cheers, that's exactly what I meant.
@mikesproso they're basically real artefactseven better. I really like that you've combined the display with heirlooms. Plus your great grandma had a great sense of style XD
Great layout. I’m curious to know more about the architecture book, as well as the Kings & Queens book. Here's my shelf.
