I am getting a cyberman esb yoda and i want to make the shirt that goes under the robe, the tunic, can you guys help me out on this.

Hey Mark, I too am getting Cyberman's "FANTASTIC" Yoda, Maybe you can shoot Gino a PM on the Details on how he made the Robe to match up with him. I've got one from a while back and IT'S BEAUTIFUL!!! :thumbsup. Now I'm just waiting on the final touches for my Yoda "CAN'T WAIT!!!!". I'll post pics when I get' em. I even built a small set for him to feel right at home. C

I have a large piece of raw silk, that I´m planning to use for the robe.
I also have the 100% correct fabric (also raw silk, but different weaving), but it´s not enough to make a robe from. Still looking for another source, but this stuff is nearly impossible to find :unsure
Maybe I´ll have one done, that I can put on my other -CKING- Yoda later on, IF I ever find the correct stuff.

The outer robe was made from "TUSSAH" silk.

when it arrives its been ironed flat and needs to be soaked in water to make it bulk up again and give it its texture.
then its a case of cutting, sewing & weathering.

Yes this is the correct stuff.......identical stuff used on the original Yoda outer robe and Old Ben inner robe. As you may have already guessed, Yoda's robes were a reverse of Old Ben's, both in fabric and in color.

Yoda's tunic is not the same material as his robe. The tunic may be a wool blend, but the weave is much tighter. Totally different weave.

Yoda's inner shirt seems to be a wool garbadine material. Like something a nice suit would be made of.

It does have a sheen to it in some pics, which may mean poly/wool blend. But I agree. It's possible it's identical to old ben's outer robe material

Gentlemen, I should say Dave (Vaderdarth up here) and I are working on a full Yoda Set for the near future.... so don´t fret, everyone will have their Yoda fully dressed in no time
Now that are great news
Any idea about the price-frame yet?...don´t want to spend $500 on these :rolleyes

We won't work out the price until the project is ready to roll. A ballpark guestimate on these will be in the upper 300s. The final cost will include both the inner and outer robe. We work on full clothing ensembles when we do these projects. Keep your eyes peeled as we intend to reveal another of our costuming projects next week. Yoda is on our drawing board right now. Don't get in a huge hurry, the old ben and our next costume debuting very soon took 3 years from beginning to a finished prototype. We are nearing completion on the Yoda costume. Most of you may have seen this already, but this is our first costume we've worked on together. This is the type of quality we are striving for.
