X-Files wallets (Show Off)

Just wanted to show off my custome made X-Files wallets. The first are of course the Scully and Mulder set, and then there's the Cigarette Smoking Man. All artwork was scratch built based on a whole load of reserach (and ther are so many versions of the wallet ID's floating around that I decided to research and do my own). The only images that I didn't create are the photo's themselves, even though they have been heavily tweaked in Photoshop. I build most of my templates from scratch in Photoshop and make conversions and what-have-you in Publisher.

The wallets are hand stitched (which is not accurate, the ones on the show used machine stitching) but the measurments are exact, and I finished the edges with an edge coating. The shield was hand sculpted (again, never been satisfied with what little I was able to find, so I spent a month working on the sculpt with some really good screen shots and accurate measurements) then cast in resin.

Total project, about 3 years of work (mostly because I would put it away frustrated and come back a little later revived.) Anyway, comments please. I've been anxious to show these off. Forgive the crappy photo's, hate my digital camera.

Those turned out really great. Excellent work. I too went on a similar journey a few years ago, but never finished my replicas. And you're right, there are like a zillion variations on all the different wallets.

I especially like the photo on the CSM ID. Was that a cleaned up one from the profiles archives, or did you find a better version of it?? i never did.

Here's my two favorite xfiles IDs:

Thanks for the comments, everyone. Matt-actually, I used the profiles archive as reference, but I actually came across that photo in a late night photo search, fairly large, and I was able to do some color correction. Also, because the image was larger, I didn't have pixelation problems like the Mulder and Scully pictures. I'm still to this day looking for higher resolutions pictures of thier ID shots. If you're interested I can send you the CSM photo for your own stuff. Just let me know.

I dig the 'Simpsons' ID's.

My friend is an FBI agent and you would be shocked at how small the actual badges really are . The ids also look nothing at all like the Hero's used in The X-files .
