WW2 Era Flamethrower Help

Hey ya'll I am working on a flamethrower, and I am trying to find the backpack portion of it that everything is strapped to to carry around. Here is my build and some reference of the backpack pad/straps I am looking for.

Ignore the flaking paint on mine lol, **** went bad, don't have the time to fix it right now. M2-2_Flame_Thrower_front.JPG12366512_10153607715051195_1504226223_n.jpg12386771_10153607191761195_1489080618_n.jpg

The frame itself appears to be unique to the flamethrower, the shoulder straps and waist belt are similar to those on the 1941 rucksack issued to US mountain troops. The canvas panel with eyelets reminds me of a similar design used on Army issued plywood packboards during WWII - seen in use quite a bit in Italy.

I hope that helps a bit - great project!

Thank you James!

That atleast gives me a starting point to find something, hopefully I can track something down, got a week to do it and finish the paint and handle portion.

And thank you! I will post up painting photos later today too.

Maybe you should check IMA-USA.com they have alot of stuff, if they don't have it listed send them an email. I think it would be the best bet

Little update, some scratch clean up and then the harness

Waiting on one of the front handles to do the gun part, had to reprint it

Excellent work, man! It looks even better than my not-so-screen-accurate flamethrower from John Carpenter's The Thing. I bow down to your build and tip my campaign hat to you, good sir. :D

Man I got lucky I don't know how turned this thing out lol

I was watching a YouTube tutorial and then after the tanks I gave up and just winged it, did alot of extra filler and sanding and then ended up printing out the spare parts that were a little more custom.

I'm real good at just winging things lol

I want to use this for a mccready cosplay after I do the until dawn cosplay

Also thank you so much! I'm still pretty new to this prop stuff so it's really encouraging to hear
