Would anyone buy a Maverick bust?

Whoa...! I'm not offering anything here!

But I just watched Top Gun for the 720th time, and thought (disregarding current public opinion of Tom Cruise) that a Maverick bust, repleat with Ray Ban Aviator glasses, real hair, torso display with the flight suit, would be pretty cool... Could also have lots of fun with the base for the display (i.e. Top Gun trophy).
 
I would be very interested in one of these. Top Gun is one of my favourite movies.

For the record, I love Top Gun. But I also think that Tarantino scene is terrific.

As for a bust of Maverick. Not for me but I believe you could still get the Helmet from Flightsuits to go with them.

I thought that was the 90s guy who was too sensitive. I figured the 80s guys (Mysef included) were more the "Me" generation. All crude humor, d**k and fart jokes and all.
 
Heading way OT...! I'd flip-flop that, seeing the 90's (the genesis of Gen-Y) as more the "Me" era.

What was that joke from Lethal Weapon about the guy who must have been an 80's man 'cause he was crying in bed (because he was sans woman)...

Oh hell no! I've never sculpted anything bigger than a raptor claw!

Though I've occasionally thought of trying a 1:1 bust, I'm not sure my motivation would be strong enough to do a Cruise bust.

Then again it may satisfy my secret 80's-man fantasies! :lol

Aren't they called "Mantasies" at that point? I dunno, I am too awestruck when they get to giving their sculpts skin like textures.(They being our sickle good bust sculptors)

Uhh, does it say anything about me, that when I clicked on this thread, I thought it would be about this:

I heard stories that this flick actually increased U.S. Naval enlistments for a time; so even though it may be considered '80s cheese now, it seems to have been fairly influential at some point.

I remember enjoying the soundtrack of this movie though.

In other news, I apparently have nothing useful to add to this discussion. :redface *skulks away*
