Worst Costumes and Props

why you got to be hating on Show Nuff?

Who's the prettiest? Sho'Nuff!

I thought that his costume was perfect for that movie. It's a great movie, but it's a total cheese fest, and his costume fits right in.

For bad costumes, it's hard to be Zardoz! My friend actually dressed as Zardoz for halloween this year... and he actually pulled it off pretty well.

Haha, good point. I mean in the fact that he looked just like the original, including the abundance of body hair.

I would not say worst - but man did this thing irk me :)

We've been over this extensively in old threads, but evidence and anecdotes pretty convincingly concluded that there was no prosthetic.

Funny that. There was an interview last week on NPR with Harve Bennet discussing TWOK, and one of the things he was VERY specific about was the fact that it was NOT a prosthetic chest, and Ricardo Montalban worked out very hard to get himself in such good shape. Wish I could find the full interview online.

There was an interview with Ricardo Montaban after TWOK came out, and he was asked how long it took him to get into that physical condition for the movie. RM replied about thirty years, to the shock of the reporter. :eek In the fifties he was filming a movie, and injured his back. He said that he was given a choice of either pills, or exercise to control his pain, and he figured that exercise was cheaper. :lol He said that all of his costumes were cut so that his build wasn't so noticeable.

David.

Wow,

That's gotta be the fakest looking real chest I've ever seen....

Hopefully it's not the same as how almost all the female actresses in hollywood claim to have never had plastic surgery. :)

How about the gun from Laser Blast.

Actually, the gun didn't bother me; the thought that two lizard-Geico gekko-types where trying to retrieve it, made me wonder something...if the Gekko people made it (which was the impression I'd gotten), why did they make it for a species other than their own? It didn't look like they could have used it...

If we're gonna split hairs, he has two other sets of "chewing muscles" The lateral horns only pierce thru his temporalis muscles. His Masseter muscle and his pterygoid muscles also aid in chewing. Still he would be limited by how hard he chews. So if he got into a biting contest with , say, little Annie, Annie would certainly kick his sunburned hiney!!! LOL

Sorry, I couldn´t resist:
I hate this design: the red colour, the stupid horns that goes even through the chew muscle (this man CAN´T bite), the black bear nose, the teeth (this man is too stupid to brush his teeth), his age (too young to be taken serious), his hight (he looks especially ridiculous to me when he´s walking next to Rune Haako and Nute Gunray. Then it looks like "Family Villain" - Mother, Father and him as little daughter - are out for a walk), the look of his clumsy lightsabre, his gloves that he even wears in the hot dessert :wacko (even if he is no cyborg), his fighting dance style. Everything :sick
That´s my opinion. I hope I didn´t hurt too many of you:unsure

I don't know if it fits in the worst "prop" category but here is my entry:

JAWS 3 (I couldn't find a screengrab with the submarine model which was just as bad)

You got some crackers guys

I think the Jaws shot should be in a seperate catagory, "Worst Blue Screen shots ever". Not to mention, I love how they just recycled the scene at that part....god awful...

Speaking of Logan's Run... how bad was this???

logansrun1.jpg
with hoovering wheel bottom and alluminium foil face.

When I was a kid our clothes dryer had the same tube running from the back out through a hole in the wall. Whoda thunk it could also be used as high tech robot arms. In it's defense, Logans Run was a pretty cool film for it's time. You kids are spoiled since these days it's expected to have a bigger budget for sci-fi not to mention what CGI can do.
