working spiderman webshooters?

Re: Working Web Shooters

The correct spelling is "Advacnded"
I spent a good half hour reading that nonsense.

Onto this.
Is there a way to shoot fibrous strands out of your wrists other than the afore mentioned silly string?
I'm afraid not. At least not unless you borrow some of DARPA's budget.

Other solutions that might work:

- Shoot a burst of C02, looks cool, and those mini canisters (for paintball pistols etc) are quite compact.
- Make the nozzle spin, a tiny vibration motor might fit, but you'd need a basic understanding of electronics and pulse width modulation.
- Sound FX, I think a good web-shot sound when you extend your arm would be far more convincing than flaccid foam strings. You can buy sound modules that you upload your own FX to and then you just need to extend the button to your wrist.

I love functional props and I'm still hoping someone has a better idea, otherwise look at some different options.

guys. i may be knew, and only thirteen living on the fourth floor of a washington heights residents but i know for one thing that spider mans web fluid can be made easily, the one problem is perfecting it and making it duplicating that same affect, i wouldn't recommend using nylon because, well just no... try a mixture of adhesives and this stuff Cellulose acetate
- Acetone
- Contact cement
- Guar gum or xanthan gum
- A tackifying resin don't swing save that for nano cellulose... come on, i mean i may have gotten this from realwebtech.webs.com but they've got brains aand so do i, so try using that one cell in your brain and explode with ideas... got me?
