Wooden sailing ship models, anyone...?

My father builds them. He buys the high end kits but changes out all the wood for the historically correct types of wood that were used on each ship and buys the original plans that were used to build the original ships. He hand makes all the wood nails and hand taps them into each plank. Hand knots all the correct rigging too. It takes him about 3-5 years to finish each ship.

Crazy.

Gorgeaous, but crazy.

Stunning, and inspirational. I can only imagine who incredible they appear in person.

Thank you for sharing.
