Wonder Woman

Good ish. End of the trailer seemed kinda choppy and I'm not sure who I feel about the slow-mo although if it was normal speed and she deflected a bullet I probably wouldn't even realize what was going on.

Looks gorgeous and I can't wait for these actions scenes.

Yep, the trailer continues to kick ass. Her bullet deflecting routine in civilian clothes is gold.

I'm definitely reading too much into it, but at 2:01 she looks like she raises and just hangs in the air....flight style.

It's not tooooo far out of the question for her to have had flight available in BvS but not used it in a traditional sense is it? Her part of the fight was all on the ground really where Doomsday was.

If so...I can imagine a seriously badass hero moment where maybe even she doesnt realise that she can fly. First of the Amazons to do it etc.

But so much badass in one trailer. I do indeed love the colouring, Themyscira and surroundings looks utterly beautiful.

The action is definitely kick ass. +1 on the bullet deflection in civvies.
I complain all the time about the overuse of Snyderesque slomo action sequences but this still looks good (With the exception of her turning her head to watch a bullet pass by in slow motion. She's WW, not The Flash.). I really love that knee slide with sword strike!

Her accent is bizarre for the role and, from the trailer, her acting seems weak. The dialogue raises another red flag - I can't believe they actually had her say, "I cannot stand by while innocent lives are lost." That line was like fingernails across a chalkboard.

Come on, kids, how many times have we been stoked, etc., by a well-edited trailer only to emerge from the theater wanting to tear out eyes out! This looks like more of the same. Gal Gadot has done a few films now and her acting is meh at best.

At 2:56 . ;)

Seriously, though... I've been waiting for this since I was 8 years old. If I wind up disappointed... well, so be it. But I refuse to not enjoy the lead up to seeing one of my idols on the big screen in her own movie finally.

This looks great. I was quite impressed with WW in Dawn of Justice and this just might be the jewel DC need.

I love her theme music at the end too.

I've never seen her in anything, but her presence in a mediocre to terrible movie didn't win me over either.

I'll giveTHIS one a shot after avoiding suicide squad...but if they fail to win me over this last time, i think that's it for me and DC movies.

Given their history, i, too, am wary, but this looks different than the previous DC efforts. It looks like they actually took time to include heart and soul in this one. Could be a well edited trailer, we shall see. At this point, all the signs are positive though.

Yes, because a bit part in Knight and Day and a supporting role in a few Fast and the Furious franchise are absolute pinnacles of writing prowess and well developed characters.

Come on, man... Judging her acting ability based on that is like judging the entirety of Star Wars based solely on Jar Jar Binks.

Nonsense. We haven't seen this film and have no knowledge of its"writing prowess" or its character development. Based on recent DC productions there's more than a little chance that the level of both is poor. Beyond the films you mentioned (which I didn't, so you're again jumping to a conclusion based on no information), I've seen Gadot in other performances and she was unimpressive. She's already played WW and was nothing special.

If you want to like the film, fine. I've just been burned too many times and would rather be pleasantly surprised than terribly disappointed.

Oh my gosh. It's Wonder Woman's first full trailer! Let's see what we're in store for!

0:09 "I used to want to save the world."

Skip!

minus seeing her in other films, i just wasn't too impressed. with her or anyone else from those other disasters for that matter. no one really acted in any of them. they just kind of read lines and trudged through.

it's OK to pre judge someone from other materials. that's how one decides if one wants to see 'em in their next project :).

While this is true, there are occasions when prior performances just don’t prepare you with what someone will bring to a performance. Heath Ledger comes immediately to mind as an example. There was so much whining and “OMG, he’s a teeny-bobber leading man type, he’s going to ruin the Joker!”, and yet he is many people’s favorite now because he did such an amazing job.

Another example is Michael Keaton as Batman/Bruce Wayne. In a time when the internet as we know it did not exist, people wrote actual angry letters to Warner Brothers at the casting decision. They were FURIOUS that a comedian was chosen to play such a serious character. Yet, when it was released, the vast majority of them flipped their views. Michael Keaton is often seen as the best on-screen version of Bats.

I agree there are many examples where folks can misjudge the quality of a film or actor in advance of a film's release. I was underwhelmed with the GotG trailer but absolutely loved the film when I saw it.

For the record, I have to say I was spot on about my disdain for Michael Keaton as Batman. I've ranted about it before so I'll spare you the diatribe. He sucked. I also think Jack Nicholson completely phoned in his performance as The Joker.

I do have preliminary concerns about Gal's performance and of the writing based on this trailer. I accept that I could be completely wrong, but why is it inappropriate for someone to express initial impressions?

It’s not wrong to have concerns. Hell, I have concerns. I, for my part, am just presenting counter-points because I refuse to let my excitement parade be rained on. ;)
