Wonder Woman fan film trailer

Haha, they shot almost that whole trailer at Fort MacArthur. I've shot a short there myself. Pretty well made, and if that was really Peter Stormare, then they had some impressive casting.

Pardon my ignorance but is Wonder Woman immortal? Captain America gets away with WW2 and modern action because he was "frozen". :lol

I think Wonder Woman is, at the very least, a demi-god or something akin. She is not a mortal. So playing her during WWII and having the same actor continue the characterization through to modern times would not present any kind of continuity issue...

Meanwhile, Holy Smokes! That was pretty fantastic! Loved the boxing boots solution to that element of the costume, and really liked the tone and the look.

Thanks for sharing. Wonder Woman seems like she could support a movie, given the right script (isn't that the case for anyone/everyone, I suppose..?).

I can't help thinking that Lynda Carter brought something . . . . um . . . more . . . to the role.

Yes, Wonder Woman could be considered immortal. She's not a woman, but was 'born' when Hera granted her mother's wish for a child. Hippolyta sculpted her from the clay of Themyscira and Hera animated her into a baby for Hippolyta to raise. Her 'powers' are actually granted by gifts from the various Greek gods rather than strictly naturally occurring super human abilities.

NOW.... I would pay good money to see this movie or tune in religiously for a show like this. A show like this would make me entirely forget that travesty they tried to foist off on us.

And THAT is the Wonder Woman's origin I'm sticking with. The only thing that's a bast*** child of Zeus that bears the title Wonder is Wonder Girl.

Yeah, but did Lynda Carter have that flying knee smash? Everyone brings their own strengths to the role, you know? (And I loved LC's WW show growing up, not saying anything against Lynda, either.) But taking a Haywire type approach of casting a fighting actor so you can shoot them deep into fighting scenes... I like it.

Not saying you couldn't find the right actor to fill out both of those items on the checklist...

As something fan made, I found the production in itself to be excellent. However, my issues are with the portrayal of Wonder Woman.

I don't think the actress fits the role physically. WW is an Amazon warrior and the actress is too petite, in my opinion. Also, the fight scenes are reminiscent of the ones in the Underworld movies and the Black Widow scenes in Avengers and Iron Man 2. When I think of Wonder Woman fighting, I picture a bad ass female just brawling and punching away. And the whole shooting the plane down lost me. If she just threw the gun or better yet, a vehicle at it, that would have been awesome.

But still, I did enjoy it as a whole and I'm just being nitpicky.

It was visually stunning! I loved the WW II time frame of it. It has great visuals. The costume is horrible! The chest piece is great, but the rest of it looks like it was thrown together at Ross. And I am sorry, but showing off three inches of butt cheek is not a replacement for a decent costume.

The trailer is well made but suffers from an overabundance of wooshy noises, generic action, and slow motion.

I agree with NakedMoleRat about the butt cheeks. I have nothing against nice female butt cheeks but not sticking out of Wonder Woman's costume.

My friend is in that trailer but I don't see him. I keep trying to find him but all I see is butt cheeks.

Thanks! I learned something today. :):thumbsup
