witchblade sara pezzini: completed pics page 3!!!!

Just chilling and reflecting on how yesterday went, pretty pleased with the costume and despite a few wig issues early on in the day it worked fairly well, id need to redo the arm pieces as they just wanted to ping back flat but everything remained fairly well stuck/ positioned all day. Im a bit disappointed how i wore it more than anything, i dont feel like i did the costume justice, partly cos i really dont photograph well and cos once someone did point a camera at me i didnt know what to do! The people who really worked their characters did a better job. Maybe trying it all on finnished and together would have been beneficial and getting some test shots before the day. Id like to do a shoot with it just to get some decent pics but maybe someone else should be in the costume.... Anyway excitingly i had enough interested parties to maybe do a super limited run of these, gonna cost it and see....

Saw this up close (Kinda) through my box vision spawn mask lol but it looked awesome and I loved the DmC your boyfriend sported!

Your finished costume looks great! :thumbsup

I think you're right about the posing ... You have to "own" the character to make that heroic photo. I find doing a dress rehearsal in front of the bathroom mirror helps me.

You look great in the cosplay! Definitely practice in front of a mirror before hand, that always helps no matter how silly you may feel doing it. Practice different poses, look at pictures of the character maybe copy a few signature poses of hers.

I think making a run of the gauntlet would be awesome, but don't get down on yourself because a few pictures didn't turn out the way you wanted.

OMG please say you are going to London Expo on May? Wish i'd seen this, hopefully will get the chance so i can drool over the level of detail!

I just saw the link on Facebook, charliefox. That gauntlet is some amazing, amazing work. Just brilliant, really. The cosplay came out wonderfully. Thanks for sharing! (And tuskentrooper is right -- get some pro pics taken! Your Sara in some nice gritty urban setting, about to kick some serious ass, perhaps?)

Great job!
I was the Editor on the Witchblade comic when Mike and Ron had their run on the book and always loved that gauntlet cover. The Greenish Tint the armor had during that time was a very hot topic of conversation around the office with an ongoing debate between that and a more silver color. You did a Fantastic job with it, and it is great you were able to let Matt check it out at the con.
Nice work!!!!!
