WIP the black knight

So I have decided to re-create the black knight from monty python and the holy grail.

I have the majority of the parts cased out already but there is one thing that is giving me trouble....the chain mail shirt and coif.

The mail is knitted which allows for the sleeves to stay form fitting instead of drooping like with metal chain mail shirts and gives the appearance of a black fabric at a distance but a chain pattern when closer up. Doing the coif the same way will allow me to wear it under the helmet as he does in the movie as well.

I guess the main thing I'm trying to get at is does anyone know of someone who can make this? I've been doing quite a bit of searching without much luck.

Why cheat...

Yes that is me in Green and making real armour isn't that difficult, the chain mail gloves are made from linked together 6mm Black Spring Washers. If you want to make a light costume for LARP or Cons then try making it from Anodised (virtually any colour) Aluminium Wire, this guide is really clear and detailed for a how-to...
