WIP Firefly-like Future Pistol

Just wanted to show off a little project I started today and should shortly finish. This little cap gun caught my eye at the grocery store and to me, looked alot like Mal's pistol from Firefly and I thought with a little modification could make a nice gun.

First thing that had to go was the tiny grip, replaced with a grip from another water gun I had. Did some painting and hopefully should finish in a day or two.

Am I wrong, or it is the same toy gun of the "Lucille" tread ( http://www.therpf.com/index.php?showtopic=128031 )?
By the way, I think it has a very Firefly "flavor" and I like the color you picked
With the right weathering this could be another fine addition to your collection.

oh damn I didnt even see that, LOL Yeha the color was a base of gold, then sprayed Stainless Steel and then metallic flec black misted over, so its got a real cool metal texture.

thats the plan, never done woodgrain paint before though, so well see how it turns out.

Looks good. And yeah thats the same gun I used for Lucy. Love the grip swap. gives a bit more heft to it.

well i just didnt like that my hand was bigger than the grip, thats the main reasin i wanted something different.

Gotta wonder why no one has done a line of replica water pistols. Or, better yet, AirSoft guns. Imagine a Vera paint gun...

So will you be changing out the trigger guard? It looks a little small for adult hands as well...
