Greetings Hunters.
I've been busy working on this model to start making my first mask, and decided to start with somthing simple - The classic Predator 1 bio mask.

This is what I've got so far.

I am wondering if it is required to cover the eyes on the model before I start printing, cutting, and assembling.

I'm hoping to use this with Pepakura very soon. I was thinking that maybe I should post a PEP file for others to use as well. Let me know what you think, i'd appreciate it!

Nice work, You don't have to cover the eyes. You only have to do that if structural integrity requires it, Like a Halo helmet's visor.

Before going to the pep stage, I would suggest adding some support pieces, a few triangular strips couple down the inside of the crown and at the jaw, to help keep the shape.

Like we see here, on the chaos Pred Bio. They minimize warpage and can easily be removed at the resin process.

Thanks for the advice, I added a few of them to the model. I think after a few more adjustments I can print the pep file.
While we're on the topic, any was to make sure the printed/folded mask is to scale? You know, so you don't end up having it too big or small. Thanks again!

Most of the pep bios I have are around 12.5 inches, about 320mm But masks differ in height. from sculptor to sculptor. But your average bio is about 12.5 inches.

No worries. I like that one too, might be making it for my own suit.. Once my mask arrives I will do some measuring and scaling Looking forward to building your P1 bio too.
