WIP: 1:1 Tom Welling Bust SMALLVILLE - Need input

Haven't checked in for a while, but the sculpt is coming along amazingly!

Agreed with westies on the temple issue though. Other than the lips needing tweaking, it's pretty much dead on.

On the profile pic, it seems like the neck is a little thicker on Welling than it is on the sculpt, going from the throat to the back of the neck. Not sure if that is a picture issue or a sculpt issue though.

Hell of a job man! It's gonna look great!!!!

Thank you guys and that photoshop with hair looks pretty cool Deathstalker II!

I reworked the profile as much as I could without messing up the likeness from the front.
I moved the ears as well, but it still doesn't perfectly match the photo, but it just may be the angle I took.
When watching the sequence where the profile picture was taken from, he's looking slightly down, where my sculpt is supposed to be looking straight ahead or slightly up.
It also has a real dark harsh shadow on the bottom of the chin making it look like it's a sharp angle, when it actually is curved a bit.

About adding more to the back of the head, I think a wig or attached hair will take care of that, unless someone wants to make a Tom Welling as Lex Luther bust :D.

I think you got it bud... I don't see any more changes needed. It looks exactly like Welling now.

Nailed the face, imo, now pull back the top of the head a bit - it bulges too far forward, where it should be more of a soft curve.

Been working 12 hour shifts lately and been a zombie when I am home so the texture is going a bit slowly, but it is going.
Here's a pic of where I'm at with the texture, I increased the contrast a bit so you guys can see it better.

Still a ways to go, but my superintendent at work is threatening to keep us on this schedule through Christmas :(

Thanks!
Yes it will help out a little bit, but I'd rather be home with my family than have to do the mandatory overtime :).
I'm not that bummed though since I have a good crew and a very nice supervisor who might let me take a few days off after all of this.

Kudos, its simply amazing. This thread was really fun to watch as you were genuinely open to critique and members were nice enough to give you some great advice - which really made this steller. Bless the RPF.

Hey I don't know if you are aware, but using the skin of an orange makes good skin texture too... looks like pours .

Yeap. Would love a run of these. I imagine a life size statue of Welling in the Superman costume.....
