Hi Roland, these look fantastic. This is also one of my wife's and I favorite movies.

On Friday evening I was at a Paul McCartney concert in Munich. I had two hours before the concert began and so I walked to the big gate, where Wonka received his visitors in the movie. In the past 45 years many things have changed there. Many buildings were demolished, the gate is different and there's grass where it used to be a street. But you can still recognize that it's the same place. Look at the picture of the small cottage: You can still see three small holes in the wall where the metal fence was attached.
For your interest: The gate is in the Emmy-Noether-Straße 10
After the concert I walked to the Lilienstraße in the hope of finding the building where they shot the exterior of "Bill's Candy Shop". But I had no luck. It seems that the building no longer exists.
