Will there be a Marvel-Stars wars cross over ever?

Hello

I was thinking last night now with Disney's acquisition of Star wars, that if will ever see both the Marvel and Star wars universe together?

I think it is not that impossible, what do you guys think?

Considering we haven't seen a Marvel/Pixar, Marvel/Pirates, Marvel/Mickey...I'm saying 'No'

Just because Disney acquired rights to a franchise, doesn't mean it will automatically all be in the same universe.

I could see it happening in a comic...and for me, that is the ONLY place it should happen. Ever.

The original Star Wars comics were marvel. Not sure if they are still today but that's where I could see it happening.

I've seen a lot of crossovers in comics, doctor who/star trek to be the strangest. but big screen, I think it would be too much.

There's been Disney Star Wars themed stuff for years. It's just all been "in park" or toy type stuff.

About marvel.. I have seen a few things here and there. But nothing significant. I'd bet you'd see some cross over stuff that's toy related. Can't imagine more than that.

This is true, I still have those Marvel comics. The licensing for the comics is still held by Dark Horse Comics and probably will be for some time if they renew their contract.

Star Wars - A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away...

Marvel - mostly present day or future in our galaxy.

Marvel would be more likely to do a cross-over with Terminator or Predator or Alien than with Star Wars. Sorry, I'm just not seeing it happening.

If they cross anything with the Star Wars universe, that will be grounds for declaring Jihad on them all :darnkids

The only crossover you'll see will be at the Parks, when Disney gets more Marvel and Star Wars themed rides and entertainment (several long years from now). From a content standpoint, the only crossing over you'll likely see would be the Phineas and Ferb type cameos.

When Disney acquired Marvel, they said there wouldn't be any in-house crossover between the two. I assume it will remain that way

Glad the thread its controversial LOL

I think some people with very little knowledge of history like to make presumptions when it comes to this subject, but otherwise there shouldn't be any controversy. Disney has rarely ever crossed over their own franchises. Roy Disney threw a massive fit when Consumer Products first pitched the idea of a 'shared universe' princess concept with regards to merchandising only (not content). There's some crossing over with their Disney Channel live action properties and Kingdom Hearts (which was licensed to Square Enix, not internally produced by Disney Interactive), but that's about it.
