Why rocks for Charlie Brown?

In the last year he was doing the strip, Charles Shultz did a Sunday strip I really wish I had saved. As I remember it:
Charlie Brown is lying in bed saying. "Sometimes I lay in bed, and I look up and say, oh Lord why me? And a voice comes back. Hey nothing personal, your name just came up". :lol

actually, it isnt because charlie brown's costume sucks. its because charlie brown has rotten luck. its his rotten luck that cut all those holes in his costume, and his rotten luck that got him rocks. you all have seen PLENTY of terrible costumes that still get candy, even people that dont wear them get them.

It was definitely a harsher world back then. I remember wondering how Santa could treat a baby reindeer with such intolerance over a simple birth defect and how the rest of the reindeer community, lead by one of Santa's reindeer could be so cruel by laughing at him and not letting him play in the reindeer games.
Not the happy North Pole community I was told existed. :unsure

I hope it was one of those big spot lights like they have in the old war movies in the POW camps. That would be epic.
