MiM sells quite a few "garage kits". You should never be surprised at their pedigrees.

And don't take my word on the Sidkit here is another whom tried to build one.. No wonder he is selling them as kits:

Well, the blaster is built. And might unhappy I am with it too. (As you suspected)

Don't get me wrong, it's a mighty gun when assembled - the weight and heft is simply outrageous - like hand-holding a howitzer.

However, parts fit, particularly towards the latter parts of assembly are very poor and the blaster is now sitting very warped and distorted along the barrel. So much so that it's sloughed-off the paint work in a fair few places. Just not enough 'finesse' in the engineering department and, the soft metal doesn't help matters either.

Admittedly, my modelling skills aren't the best, but, for the money, this really should have gone together much better.
