Which metallic for a resin saber hilt?

Got a set of Ahsoka Tano resin stunt sabers (thank you JediFather on this forum), seasons 3–5 of The Clone Wars.
They are white resin. Black bits were cast separate in black, so that is one less thing to paint. Trying to figure out the best paint and color to use: Silver, Aluminum, Gun Metal, or go crazy with chrome?
Most of the sabers in the movies look like chrome or brushed chrome, is that correct?

Personally I have always viewed Ahsoka Tano's sabers to have the finish of sandblasted and possibly anodized aluminium.
Others think that it should be brushed nickel, like the Skywalker saber.

Any reasonably durable "silver" or "aluminium" paint will look something like sandblasted aluminium.
The types of paints that are more shiny can't really be handled, unfortunately.

All kinds of metal finishes were in the live-action movies, even different finishes for the same lightsaber. (hero vs. stunt prop)
Most "hero" props in TPM were smooth aluminium but the stunt props were silver-painted resin, looking more like sandblasted grey-anodized aluminium up close.

To get a good metallic finish, the base matters more than the paint. A lot of wet sanding and a gloss black bass coat should be enough prep for the metal.

Assuming you have an airbrush, I think Alclad's Polished Aluminum would be a great match to the saber.
If not, there are quite a few spray can metals. I can't recall exactly which one it was but there is a Krylon silver that is absolutely beautiful. If I can think of it I'll update the post!

I believe that's the Krylong Premium Metallic Finish but as good as it looks for a rattle can, it smudges very easily and cannot be polished or clear coated. To keep that chrome-mirror like finish, you pretty much have to spray it on and forget about it; any sort of handling of it will ruin the finish. Even just lightly.:unsure
