Where to buy female mannequin for sculpting

Where is the best and affordable place to get a female mannequin for doing a full body scalp? Ideally I would LOVE to just get a full body cast of myself but that's very expensive to do and I live alone.. with no one really to help.

Well, ebay is a good start. Most of them go for around $100, but the shipping can get a little pricy. I think I paid about $120 (shipped) for mine, but that was many years ago.

Also, be sure to get a mannequin that doesn't have a pose (i.e. weight shifted to one foot, hand on hip, etc), because it will hinder your sculpt in more ways than one.

Amazon.com has a place called Only Mannequins that has decent priced Mannequins. I plan on purchasing a egg head one when I get the chance. I don't want it watching me >_>...

I'm no expert, but I recently looked around for mannequins. I ended up picking one up from eBay as their prices were comparable to some of the online retailers I found. I'm pretty sure they had free S&H too.

I used to work in a mall, and I discovered that when you are in a mall, go check where the stores throw stuff out-clothing stores tend to throw out stuff like mannequins all the time! I have four from one visit, display cases, etc. Give it a try!
