This is a vintage female with moderate pitting to one side, and less on the other. Underneath the lip on the side you will see there is a serial number etched into this one; as well as the RR ‘D’ logo stamped into the underside of the top lip.
This one had previously been professionally cleaned to stop any further pitting - the patina was applied by myself using oil, grease and a blow torch. The result is an authentic and very accurate all-over patina that sings from the same sheet as that of my own! (See the picture below of my untouched bp that retains its original finish on the threaded rod for comparison). Very stable and will not come off by touch, although can be knocked back and altered with ease if you so wish.
